Meet Dan

“Floridians deserve proven leaders in Washington who will stand with President Trump to protect our constitutional government and ensure access to the American Dream. Hard working families and small business owners can’t afford the gridlock in congress that keeps our nation in debt and our liberties at risk. It’s been 30 years since they last passed a budget, making it impossible to control spending.”

– Dan Green

As the child of an Army veteran and a civics teacher, Dan grew up in Indian River County learning about service, sacrifice, and solution-oriented leadership. Dan earned the rank of Eagle Scout, attended American University, and later Florida State University, with a focus on Political Science. His interest in politics led him to work for the Republican National Convention and George W. Bush Administration.

Dan was working in the Pentagon on September 11th and experienced the devastating attack firsthand. The attack on our nation greatly impacted Dan and strengthened his resolve to serve his country. Dan Green joined the United States Navy, where he completed five tours throughout the Middle East and earned the rank of Captain.

While serving in Afghanistan, Dan worked tirelessly with our allies on the ground. His boots-on-the-ground experience has made him an expert in counterterrorism, foreign policy, and the toll of war on our brave veterans.

In 2019, Dan was appointed by President Trump as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategy & Force Development in the Department of Defense. While in the Department of Defense, Dan played a pivotal role in our ongoing defense strategy and scenario planning.

Dan is a recipient of several honors, including the Secretary of Defense’s Medal for Outstanding Public Service (2021), the Office of the Secretary of Defense’s Exceptional Public Service Award (2009), the U.S. Department of State’s Superior Honor Award (2005), and the U.S. Army’s Superior Civilian Honor Award (2005).

Dan Green has never sat on the sidelines. He believes in hard work, resiliency, and the rule of law. As our representative in Washington, Dan will continue to fight for the future of our country.
